Who WOn T 20 World Cup


T20 world cup came with full of exitement and losts of expectations, T20 worldcup is the second bigges cricket event and whole world watch this tournament. T20 2009 was not any difference it was being played on England so the exitement was more than previous world cup.


The sport tournaments like these are one big feasts for the advertisers, every company tries to get the best spots during these events. Now when the world cup started PEPSI came strong with its tremendous ad starring Wasim Akaram, the ad is still running in national tv channels, the theme is awsome (Badal do Zamana), PEPSI made very good ad relaing to the event world cup T20, and i thought that PEPSi has beaten Coke in improvising the situation playing relevant ads during whole world cup.


Coke's was playing its old ad during the world cup the same Brrr ad which also has very strong theme but it was not relevant with the situation, Pepsi had better startegy and using emotional strategy it connect itself emotionally with Paksitani nation.


Well T20 is very fast and full of surprises and unexpected happens evert time and you dont know whts going to happen in next moment.


The final of T20 was played between Paksitan and Srilanka and every Paksitani was jammed with the television screen i think 30 minutes before the start of final becasue to hype of final was too much and every Paksitani wanted to see Paksitan won the match.


This time 30 minutes before the final was a hot spot for advertisers. lots of ads were being played in this time (i am talking about Paksitani tv channels). Then came the toss and after the toss 10 minutes before the start of match the exitement was high.. and then what came .. i call it right thing at the right time... just minutes before the final..Coke ad was displayed .. the ad was simply awsome and to me coke had capitalize the situation and won the world cup it beate Pepsi...the Coke ad was played 3 times befor the world cup and it was not played again...the Coke delive the message and improvised the situation... i remember the ad and the message ( jeeto cricket pio coke)...

it was the smartest move in Advertisement history of Paksitan ..to me atleast it was...


I think this is all what advertisement is all about playing right ad at the right time and presenting clear message to the target audience...
